Hi I'm Carla...
I was born and raised in majestic Scotland and after spending many years working at sea I am now very lucky to call the beautiful island of Mallorca my home. It is curious that I found myself here, I have always felt like my heart lived on the ocean but that my soul was in the mountains, Mallorca has both, I feel very much supported and nurtured here by the islands stunning nature.
I've worked in the service industry for my entire professional working life, from the customer service department in the commercial printing industry, to retail management and then for the last 18 years in the yachting industry and latterly in private homes. I knew service but something was missing. I had a deep desire to truly make a difference to the wellbeing of others.

My introduction to body work began by studying massage therapy in Mallorca. My current studies with CranioSacral Therapy (CST) are being completed in the UK with all of the practice sessions being done between courses in Mallorca. I've discovered through both massage and CST that I can connect with people in a much deeper and meaningful way, its heartwarming to feel that I am impacting their journey in a positive way. Each body is uniquely, extraordinary and has a wisdom if only we would listen more. Read on to learn why I chose CranioSacral Therapy and to understand the basics.

Why CranioSacral Therapy ?(CST)
I identified with CST after reading about the important concepts that a CranioSacral therapist must keep in mind;
-
To have an Open Heart
-
An understanding of anatomy
-
Ability to listening
-
Support
-
Be non Invasive and non judgemental
-
Facilitate the `Inner Physician`
I was instantly draw to this concept of an ´Inner Physician´ . This idea resonated with what I already knew to be true, that the body has a knowledge and wisdom and we have exactly what we need within. I knew I wanted to assisting people in awakening their own 'Inner Physician´.
In CranioSacral therapy we work with a rhythmic system at the core of our physiology – the pulse of energy that flows between our head and pelvic area, the skull bones accomodate it´s pulse. It’s as essential, measurable, and tangible as our breath and heart rate. The aim of a CranioSacral practitioner is to evaluate and optimize the pulse of the CranioSacral rhythm. It’s a form of bodywork consisting of exceedingly light finger and hand pressure upon the cranial bones and the sacrum. This pressure, in turn, affects the deeper layers of membranes, their bony and fascial attachments, and the cerebrospinal fluids in the spinal canal, the brain, and the spinal cord itself . CST can help with, pain relief, headaches, migraines, anxiety, stress and tension and can also increase overall vitality and many more.
